18th century architecture

Sir,
I saw your post on Der Alte Fritz journal and am very excited.
I have been asking for almost as long as I have been reading his posts where I might find a good resource for what architecture would look like in the era of the SYW, particularly in Saxony.
I do not read German, but wonder if you could point me towards a good reference(s), particularly with pictures if it must be in German text, as I very much want my buildings to be historically accurate.

Thank you,

I am inspired by the Der Alte Fritz Journal to try my hand at this. I am confident that this will be amateurish to begin with but just as has been the case with my painting of figures I will find styles that I like and the product will become more polished with time.

Mostly what I hope to accomplish with this site is to post pictures of armies I am painting, slowly, and get feedback on how I might improve my painting skills.

I paint using almost exclusively enamels. I paint the base color and shadow of flesh (human and equine) with acrylics and then finish and highlight using enamels. I am not averse to mixing my own colors and if I find somethig that I like, bottling one or two.

I would say that my painting style most closely mimics the style of Kevin Dallimore, but I also use alot of swipes and dots like Sascha Herm. Normally when painting Cavalry I attach the figure to the horse and then prime and paint. I am inspired of late by what I see on the leuthen Journal blog by Ioannis Mavromichalis to try airbrushing my horses and so have been doing research into how to airbrush. As much as is possible when painting horses and riders I try to cut and carve the reins off the horse model and replace with lead foil that I then attach to the rider's hand. I know it is more work up front but I really prefer the result on the back end.

To that end I also add chains to the carriage of all my guns, also an effect I like on my models. I'll post some pictures soon of what I am talking about and hope that some out there who know better what they are doing will give me some pointers.
